ANNUAL SESSION 2019- INDIA 5.0: INDIA@75 AND BEYOND

India is today the world’s fastest growing large economy and looking ahead to assuming a top-three position among global economies. Since Independence, it has traversed a long growth journey that has four distinct upward structural breaks. The country is now establishing a faster pace as global shifts, technology advances and its own demographics and development shape a vibrant future.

As it completes 75 years of its nationhood, an inclusively developing India can contribute to an inclusive and sustainable world through economic strength, technological vitality and moral leadership. This will be the India of the fifth stage of its development, or India 5.0.

The Annual Session will take cognizance of the multiple trends impacting India’s development journey and would foster informed and energetic discussions on managing these strands for best outcomes for itself as well as for the world at large. It will define the matrix of India 5.0 to best shape the country’s future.

There will be participation from thought leaders, policy-makers, strategists, industry leaders and media, with Mr Arun Jaitley Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Government of India, being the chief guest.
