DISRUPTIVE INNOVATIONS - CHANGING THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT

Wednesday, 14th June 2017 16.00 hrs - 17.30 hrs
SCCI OFFICE, NEW DELHI

Disruptive innovations challenge status quo and the established ways of doing business; both for companies and consumers. These force change to happen. Spotify and Skype, both Swedish companies, are two well-known examples of innovations that disrupted established ways of doing things, created new value networks and displaced traditional industry. Suddenly governance models are outdated, new policies needed to regularize the new environment and for people, patterns of living changes. Uber anyone?

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce India together with its member Otivr (B2B disruptive business model in the area of sourcing of IT services) and Business Sweden, invites you to a dialogue on ‘Disruptive Innovations - Changing the world as we know it”. How do new technologies and business models, driven by organic, social or policy change impact the way we think and act? What happens when innovations “go viral”? Will governance support the transformation or strangulate the change?

We have several examples of disruptive innovators in our network and Fingerprints (the use of biometrics to disrupt the entire payment transaction system by transformation and convergence of commerce and privacy as they relate to consumer control and identity), Gelato (connecting print houses all over the world to one print cloud- open to everyone) and Truecaller (transforming millions of phone books around the world by identifying spam callers) will join us.

Mr. Yaduvendra Mathur, Additional Secretary, Niti Aayog (the Government's think - tank) has accepted an invitation to attend this event.
