India Development Foundation invites you to the 7th A N Varma Memorial Lecture on “The European Union in a Time of Great Change”

The lecture will be delivered by Mr. Göran Persson, the former Prime Minister of Sweden, a position he held between 1996 and 2006, and will be followed by a Q&A session.

The A. N. Varma lectures are in appreciation of the role played by Mr. Varma in pushing through the economic reform process that was started in 1991. Even prior to this, he had contributed significantly to many far-reaching policy changes that have shaped our country today. As a tribute to him, these lectures are delivered by eminent scholars and policymakers on issues of immediate policy interest.
