FOCUS: INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS (IPR)

Tuesday, 16th May 2017 08.30 hrs - 10.00 hrs
SCCI OFFICE, NEW DELHI

BREAKFAST MEETING WITH PRV – THE SWEDISH PATENT AND REGISTRATION OFFICE

Sweden (#2) and India (#43) stand on almost extreme ends on the International Intellectual Property Rights Index, among 45 nations surveyed early 2017. The Business Climate Survey also shows that IPR is important, as well as a concern, amongst companies. 1 out 3 consider IPR being problematic in terms of definition, process lead-time, and protection.

In a bid to inch closer to the ease of doing business in India and strengthening Intellectual Property Rights, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed between Indian and Swedish authorities on May 17, in conjunction with the Joint Commission meeting between the Ministers of Trade.

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce India in collaboration with Embassy of Sweden invites you and your colleagues to learn more about the MoU, share your concerns in the area of IPR and discuss what course of action should be taken going forward.
