A GREEN JOURNEY GROWTH SESSION: FUTURE OF GREEN ENERGY IN INDIA
Friday, 4th March 2022 15.00 hrs - 16.15 hrsOnline, Zoom
This session is part of Chamber’s sustainability platform A Green Journey for collaboration and learnings amongst Swedish companies in India, to make necessary shifts to accelerate the green agenda. #SwedenIndiaLeadIT
Transition to green energy and access to clean fuel is critical to ensuring a sustainable future for all and to limiting global warming to 1.5°C as agreed in the Paris Agreement. A commitment further strengthened by India and Sweden at the 2019 UN Climate Action Summit when they launched the Leadership Group for Industry Transition (LeadIT) to enable 'hard to decarbonise' sectors reach net-zero emissions by 2050. Industry, academia, and policy makers have a significant role to play in defining a clear pathway towards this goal while ensuring India’s current and future energy needs are met sustainably.
