R&I CLUB EVENT: SWEDEN-INDIA INNOVATION PARTNERSHIP

India is an increasingly important destination for Swedish companies when it comes to research, development and innovation, and a strong motivational force is the proximity of the growing domestic market. Sweden is a strong contributor to India’s Make in India initiative with numerous companies having invested in R&D and setting up full-fledged, state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the country.

The Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) is a flagship initiative set up by the NITI Aayog to promote innovation and entrepreneurship across the length and breadth of the country, based on a detailed study and deliberations on innovation and entrepreneurial needs of India in the years ahead. AIM is also envisaged as an umbrella innovation organization that would play an instrumental role in alignment of innovation policies between various Indian stakeholders.

In line with the Sweden-India Innovation Partnership, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce India, Embassy of Sweden and Business Sweden in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) are organising a policy dialogue to respond to the future need of innovation and collaborations. We are bringing together stakeholders in the innovation eco-system; such as Swedish research and innovation funders Swedish Research Council, Sweden’s innovation Agency VINNOVA, FORTE, FORMAS and Swedish Energy Agency, Swedish companies in India along with AIM and other Indian stakeholders.
