STRIVING TOWARDS UNIVERSAL HEALTH COVERAGE

On the second anniversary of Ayushman Bharat, India’s flagship program on health insurance, Indian Minister for Health & Family Welfare Dr Harsh Vardhan has invited Swedish Minister for Health & Social Affairs, Ms. Lena Hallengren to speak at the Aarogya Manthan event. Minister Hallengren will share Sweden’s experiences and policies in the session titled ‘Striving towards Universal Health Coverage’.

The other distinguished global speakers at the event are, Nobel Laureate Dr. Abhijeet Banerjee, Mr. Bill Gates, Co-Chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General, World Health Organization.

The session will be moderated by the Dr Vardhan, in presence of Mr. Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Union Minister of State of Health & Family Welfare. The addresses from global leaders shall be followed by the keynote address by Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi.
