Swedish Avenue, Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune

On Feb 14, the Consulate General of Sweden in Mumbai in collaboration with the Chamber and Swedish companies in Pune launched 'Swedish Dads' - a photo exhibition about dads and their relationship with their children.

Swedish photographer Johan Bävman portrayed Swedish fathers who have been on parental leave for at least 6 months. The thoughtful exhibition showcases what it meant to them and how it has affected their relationships with both their partners and their children.

Indian photographer Avinash Gowariker has documented lives of Indian dads, adding to the universal truth and importance of fatherhood.

The exhibition aims at starting a conversation about gender stereotyping that defines what a woman or man should be or do both at the home, workplace and society, which ends up limiting us at all levels. We hope it will help people start questioning the status quo and redefine what we do and why, what holds value and what is really important.

The exhibition is displayed on the Swedish Avenue in Dapodi, Svea Nagar, Pune- outside Atlas Copco, Sandvik and Alfa Laval and is there until Feb 24th, from 10 am to 6 pm.
