VOLVO GROUP, IKEA, AND BBMP SET UP A 100 BED COVID CARE CENTRE IN BANGALORE

In the second wave of Covid-19, Team Sweden keeps supporting India in various ways. Swedish companies Volvo Group and IKEA together with Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) have opened a 100 bed Covid Care Centre in Bangalore. The Centre was inaugurated Friday 21st of May by Chief Minister of Karnataka Mr B.S. Yediyurappa.

This brand new facility has been equipped to cater to Covid-19 positive individuals who are either asymptomatic, exhibiting mild symptoms or seeking isolation services. The centre has started out with 40 beds with oxygen concentrators, necessary medical equipment, medicines, food, and rooms equipped with IKEA beds and furnishings. Resident doctors, nurses and support staff will be stationed at the centre as well as an ambulance service. If a condition worsens the patient can swiftly be moved to a hospital for further treatment.
