The Ministry of Heavy Industries on October 1 launched the PM Electric Drive Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement (PM E-DRIVE) Scheme.

The scheme is designed to accelerate EV adoption amongst two-wheelers, three-wheelers, ambulances, trucks, and other advanced EVs by providing incentives and also focusses on building critical charging infrastructure nationwide, contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable future. The scheme has a financial outlay of ₹10,900 crore over a period of two years, and will be implemented from 1st October 2024 till 31st March, 2026.
