Under its sustainability program, A Green Journey, Chamber is launching a new initiative called ‘Sun, Wind and Water’, where we will take a close look at some of the groundbreaking work and concrete steps our member companies have undertaken to promote environmental sustainability in the area of energy, waste, water. The first session will focus on: ‘water’.

Water is a critical issue for India. According to a 2019 NITI Aayog report, over 600 million people in India, nearly half the population, grapple with acute water crisis. This was also seen in our 2021-22 mapping study in which close to 50 Swedish companies in India participated. 65% of the companies who took part in the study were operating in water stressed areas and many companies are dependent on ground water which is a fast-depleting resource. 

Join in as we hear two of our member companies, Autoliv and Alfa Laval, share how they are conserving, recycling and treating water to make a difference in this area of critical importance.
